Candle Care
The right care for a clean & even burn
To ensure you can enjoy your candle for a long time, please observe the following instructions.
Our candles are hand-poured, unique pieces – with proper care they burn cleaner, longer and safer.
1. Trim the wick (before each lighting)
🖤 Trim the wick to 5–7 mm before lighting the candle.
➡️ This prevents soot, black edges and ensures a stable flame.
2. Perform the first fire correctly
🖤 Let the candle burn until the top layer of wax is completely liquid.
➡️ This prevents a "tunnel" from forming and ensures the candle burns evenly.
3. Observe the burning time
🖤 Maximum 2-3 hours per lighting .
➡️ Burning for too long leads to unstable flames.
4. Keep your distance & place safely
🖤 Place the candle on a heat-resistant, flat surface .
🖤 At least 10 cm distance to other candles.
🖤 Never place in a draft.
5. Never leave a candle unattended.
🖤 Safety first – never leave the room with a lit candle.
6. Extinguishing the flame – correctly
🖤 Extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer or by briefly dipping the wick into the wax.
➡️ This protects the wick and prevents smoke.
7. Pay special attention to decorative candles
Many of our candles are decorative works of art.
🖤 They do not burn completely in a controlled manner (due to their shape).
➡️ Therefore, always place them on a candle plate.
